Selection Process
Preferred Technical Inc. operates an extremely
thorough and efficient selection process to ensure
that only the very best candidates are presented to
our clients. The process is detailed below, and
yields candidates with the right fit so that our
clients can suitably execute their strategy in
accordance with project timelines.
1)
Resumes are obtained from a variety of sources that
include our own extensive database, internet job
boards, job fairs, employee referrals, and direct
recruitment.
2)
Potential applicants are screened via telephone, in
order to confirm their relevant skills, thorough
phone interview in regards to their experience, work
history, education and reference checks and
availability.
3)
Candidates are signed up in-person and required to
sign off on their understanding and agreement to
client confidentiality, criminal background checks,
drug test ( if required or mandatory based on client
need), health & safety, ethics, sexual harassment,
and policies, as a condition of their employment
contract with Preferred Technical Inc. Once
complete, the interview process is broken up into 4
separate stages:

Stage 1 – Interview
Our recruiters conduct a chronological review of
the applicant's education and experience

Stage 2 – Behavioral-Based
Assessment
The candidate participates in a comprehensive
behavioral-based interview to determine their
personality type, performance standards, work
habits, reliability, integrity, and fit.

Stage 3 – Knowledge & Skills
Assessment
Candidate participates in a technical interview
that includes a demonstration of previous
abilities, to determine the degree of their
technical aptitude.

Stage 4 – Verification of
Employment Requirements,
Applicant confirms their
understanding and agreement regarding the job
location and if it is suitable for them; their
available start date; hours or shift that are
required to work; if they have suitable
transportation for the job; eligibility to work in
the United States complying with both Federal and
State Laws and the current pay rate being
offered.
4 )
References are checked to verify work experience and
work performance.
5)
Criminal background
checks and Government security clearances are
performed, where job specifications deem them to be
bona fide occupational requirements (if required by
client) .
7)
We present the contract offer to the candidate for
work on a client engagement, who subsequently signs
off on their acceptance of the contract terms &
conditions.
8)
Conduct customized in-house client orientation for
new hires if applicable.

In an effort to stay organized for large
recruitment initiatives, some clients will ask us
to host their resumes. Essentially, we maintain a
separate database for resumes from a client that
they will require for a future recruitment drive.
There is no limit to the number of resumes we can
receive, and they can be immediately retrieved
when requested by the client.

Our resume screening service spares your HR
department the time and effort of sorting through
hundreds of applicants, while ensuring a shortlist

We can conduct ad hoc Criminal Background checks
on candidates that you hire. These are conducted
through a third-party company called Et
All/Choice Point and can only be carried out if
the client has deemed them to be a bona fide
occupational requirement.

We can conduct Security Clearance checks on
candidates that you are considering hiring.

Credit Checks
We can verify a candidate's credit rating through
our direct link with Equifax .( this is only
conducted if required by client for specific
positions)

Proprietary Client Testing
We regularly administer customized testing to
candidates that are common in our clients'
business and/or industry.
